| The West Central Minnesota Area Transportation Partnership (ATP) is seeking applications for the Transportation Enhancement program. An approximate total of $600,000 in funding is available for Transportation Enhancements (TE) in 2014. The minimum project cost for eligible projects is $50,000; projects require a 20% local match. The deadline for preliminary applications is November 13, 2009. |

All applicants will be required to schedule a site visit with Wayne Hurley, WCI planning director, for any project seeking TE funds. Site visits should be scheduled as soon as possible, and must be completed by the application deadline. Please contact Wayne at 800-735-2239 or wayne@wcif.org to make arrangements for the site visit.
Applicants should also be prepared for a brief (approx. 20 minute) presentation and Q & A session at a meeting of the Transportation Enhancement Subcommittee in January, as they consider and prioritize the applications.
There are 12 eligible TE activities:
1. Provision of facilities for pedestrians and bicycles
2. Provision of safety and educational activities
3. Acquisition of scenic easements and scenic or historic sites
4. Scenic or historic highway programs
5. Landscaping and other scenic beautification
6. Historic preservation of a transportation related structure
7. Rehabilitation and operation of historic buildings, structures, or facilities
8. Establishment of transportation museums
9. Preservation of abandoned railroad corridors
10. Control and removal of outdoor advertising
11. Archaeological planning and research
12. Mitigation of water pollution due to highway runoff

- Battle Lake to Glendalough Interconnection Trail (funded 2013) = $175,000
- Tower Road bridge trail in Fergus Falls (funded 2013) = $425,000
- City of Ottertail bike trail (funded 2012) = $189,750
- Moorhead pedestrian underpass at 20th Street and 40th Avenue (funded 2012) = $310,250
- Villard bike trail to Villard city beach (funded 2012) = $100,000
- Lake LeHomme Dieu bike path (funded 2011) = $192,300
- Otter Tail County Highway 1 bike trail (funded 2011) = $144,300
- Highway 10 aesthetic and beautification improvements (funded 2011) = $260,500
- Phelps Mill bridge restoration (funded 2010) = $273,600
- Pelican Rapids River Park and Pathway (funded 2010) = $125,000
- Benson Northside Trail extension (funded 2010) = $167,200
- City of Ottertail bike trail (funded 2012) = $189,750
