A sampler of county projects supported by WCI:
- The White Earth Child Care Program receives funds in support of the Community of White Earth Early Childhood Coalition's goal to make the community and surrounding area the best place for its youngest children to grow, thrive and reach their full potential.
- Lakeshirts, Inc., Detroit Lakes, has taken advantage of WCI's Workforce 2020 Program for years for supervisory training, visual workplace organization training and lean manufacturing training. WCI has also assisted them with expanding their business. In 2007, Lakeshirts was named "favorite employer" in the Detroit Lakes Tribune's annual Reader's Choice issue.
- IN 2006, the city of Frazee received a Community Visioning and Organizing Grant to assist the community in developing a broad consensus on future direction for city growth.
- A WCI Childcare Capacity Grant helped United Methodist Church in Detroit Lakes to open its Small Blessings Daycare. The grant helped increase the area's child care capacity by 14.
