What You'll Learn: Health profession workforce shortages are a serious issue in Minnesota, especially in rural areas. Workforce trends suggest that meeting the state's provider needs cannot be done through traditional educational models. The University of Minnesota Academic Health Center is employing new models of care that emphasize strategic and distinctive partnerships with communities, health systems and employers  across the state to prepare the next generation of health professionals who will improve the health of communities, discover and deliver new preventions, treatments and curers, and strengthen Minnesota's health economy.
