These funds may be established by individuals,
families, businesses, private foundations, civic groups or
other organizations who
want an ongoing role in the grant-making process. The donors
advise WCI to distribute portions of the fund to their favorite
charities. WCI provides the financial and government reporting
responsibilities. WCI staff assures the donor’s objectives
are being met by reviewing grant recipients.
Advisory committees
can be made up of family members or appointed representatives
of the organization. The advisory committee will
make strategic decisions to insure that the donors’ wishes
are being met. |
