Donors to WCI can support their community or other non-profit by participating
in a variety of component
funds. WCI’s
foundation provides a variety of component funds to meet the
charitable objectives of the donors. This is includes Donor
Advised Funds, Designated Funds, Geographic Area Funds, restricted
Field
of Interest Funds, Scholarship Funds, and non-profit Organizational
Funds. Individuals, families, and businesses can start most
of these funds.
The most common funds are the Donor Advised
funds that reflect the needs of the donors. They have many
of the characteristics
of a private foundation. Donor Advised funds are more efficient
because they don’t require a separate new organization
and staff. They reduce operating costs, and governmental documentation.
